Seo what's new?

August 13, 2005

Mets 5, Dodgers 1 :

What’s new? Nothing to Jae Seo, as his last start was like this one…he won. Seo (4-1) surrendered one run and five hits, walking one and striking out six in winning for the second time since he replaced Kaz Ishii in the rotation. Braden Looper also pitched well, pitching a scoreless ninth inning. Ramon Castro, filling in for Mike Piazza, hit a homerun along with Gerald Williams, filling in for the injured Beltran, now expected back on Sunday. Reyes and Diaz had steals, and Reyes got closer to Juan Pierre for the race for the most steals in the National League.Reyes
