Giants beat Jets 15-14

August 28, 2005

The Giants defense allowed no scoring from the Jets offense, just letting them fall on the ball in the endzone to get two touchdowns from the Giants’ offense. Strahan sacked Pennington, picked the ball off from Pennington, and recovered a fumble. The only stupid thing Strahan did was, instead of downing it in the endzone when he had an interception, he just took it out to the one and got tackled, setting up the Giants with horrible field position. Eli Manning missed the game because of his arm, but he will be back by the opener, and is expected to miss next week’s preseason game vs. the New England Patriots. Hasselback is probably going to be the Giant’s backup behind Eli Manning at quarterback.
