Boone Retires

March 1, 2006

Bret Boone announced during a press conference in the Mets dugout today that he has retired, that he didn’t feel he was the same that he used to be.

I expected him to retire–he’s just getting old.

SO… check off Bret Boone from the 2nd base competition. Now it is between Kaz Matsui, Anderson Hernandez and Jeff Keppinger.

I think Kaz will win it, just because he has the experience, and is having a good camp through what I hear, and he is a pretty good player, just had an off year.

Maybe they can just not play anyone there. I think that will actually be more productive then having though players at bat and in the field.

They can also go after Soriano or even Vidro from the Nats. Maybe Matsui for Soriano HAHAHA that would be the worst trade in the history of Baseball. (For the Nats)
