Pedro faces live batters

Finally Pedro faces live batters… FINALLY

Today Pedro Martinez pitched to some minor league batters in front of teammates, coaches, executives, a trainer and a dozen reporters. Today was the first time that he pitched to live batters this year. He received comments from many different people, and it was a good day for the Mets. Today was one step closer to Pedro’s first start, whether opening day or after, still undecided. If Pedro is not ready to go when it comes opening day, it will be Tom Glavine who will start.

The Mets are aiming for a big playoff run, and they will most likely make the playoffs–IF the team is healthy.

SNY starts up tomorrow at 5 PM Eastern time.
