Mets (1-0) beat Nationals (0-1)

The Mets looked great as predicted today. Xavier Nady went 4-4 in his debut as a New York Met, Lo Duca played good in his debut with two hits, but Delgado didn’t have any hits in his debut. Tom Glavine pitched in place of Pedro Martinez, who will start in two games because his schedule was delayed due to a toe injury. In Wagner’s debut, he already had his 1st save of the year giving up 1 hit and struck out one batter. Tom Glavine pitched 6 innings and allowed 6 hits, 1 run, walked three batters and struck out five.

-The Mets do not play on 4/4

-The Mets next game is against the Nationals on 3/5, and then wrap up the series with the Nationals on 3/6. The Mets then play a 3 game series with the Marlins at home.

    Will this be the only day this season that the Mets in First place?
