Mets take 2 of 3 from Braves
The Mets won the first two of a three game series against the Braves at Shea.
The Braves took the last game, which included Paul Lo Duca getting tossed, and Bobby Cox getting tossed all over a tag. Jose Lima pitched in the final game of the series. Another game in the series that Zambrano started became bad because Zambrano hurt his elbow and is out for the year.
After a day off, the Mets head to Philly to play 3 games, and Wagner wants revenge.
Wagner said that his former teammates called him a “rat” in the clubhous last season.
I definitley wouldn’t be surprised if he threw 100 MPH in at least one of those games.
The Mets are in First place in the NL East, and hold the best record in Major League Baseball, and have a 4 game lead on the Phillies and an 8 game lead on the Braves. The Mets are 10 ahead of Washington and 12 ahead of Florida.
I have heard rumors that Mets are trying to trade Milledge for either Dontrelle Willis or Barry Zito, but I don’t like that. WHY. Thats all the mets do is trade their prospects for horrible pitchers like Zambrano. I’m definitley not saying Willis is horrible, hes great, and same with Zito, but they should let Milledge develop.
