Mets taking it easy

The Mets are going easy on pitching, pretty much just resting up for the playoffs. Pedro is in Florida rehabbing, El Duque skipped a start, Glavine is finally making hasn’t had a start in quite awhile after his deal with the blood clot, but he will start within the next few days.

The Mets go into their road trip with 80 wins and are 15+ games above the 2nd place Phillies in the NL East. The Mets are most likely to clinch a playoff berth and win the NL east, which is the Mets first time back to the playoffs since they won the National League in 2000.
