According to David Lennon of Newsday, lastings Milledge mouthed off to a Mets veteran after last night’s game. Milledge’s street clothes were stolen from his locker, and replaced with a dress. Milledge’s locker also had a sign reading “KNOW YOUR PLACE, ROOK!”

Giants Fall Over

FINAL SCORE: Giants 42, Seahawks 30

The Giants fell over…

POSITIVES

Down 42-3, the Giants came back making the score 42-40

The Hurry up offense was awesome in the end, something the Giants should do more often.

The Defense came out with 3 interceptions off Hasselbeck, one returned for a TD, one resulting in a score, but one just gave right back by an Eli interception.

David Tyree did great filling in for the injured Plaxico Burress

NEGATIVES

Eli stunk in the first half, throwing pick after pick.

The receivers couldnt catch a ball if it was a life or death situation.

Burress didn’t secure the ball, causing a fumble.

The defense, again left receivers open for scores.

The offense, when picked off, gave the Seahawks great field position, making it very tough and tiring for the New York Giants defense.

Postgame reactions were horrible, Shockey criticizing the Giants coaching staff… Yet the press shouldn’t have interviews while the players are still in the heat of the battle.

Mets Clinch NL East!!

September 19, 2006 · Filed Under Mets · Comment

The Mets clinched the NL East last night with a win against the Marlins. The party lasted all night and the players were having the best time ever. After a gazillion bottles were sprayed in the Locker Room after the game, the Mets came back out on the field to give Met fans in the stands high fives, hold up NL East Champion signs, etc. Jose Valentin supplied the Mets with 2 home runs. The Mets clinched their first division title since 1988.

Down 24-7, Giants Shock Eagles in OT

September 18, 2006 · Filed Under Giants · Comment

After trailing 24-7, the Giants looked like they had NO chance to come back to this game. But wrong. They came back and used all the energy they had to tie the game after Manning threw the ball up, and it just happened to be Tim Carter in the area… the Giants then used Jay Feely to boost a FG to put them into overtime with 7 seconds remaining in regulation. After that, the Giants recieved the ball, punted, got the ball back, drove down and scored with somewhere around 3 minutes to go, they scored a TD pass on a rainbow throw by Eli into Plaxico Burress’ hands.

POSITIVES AND NEGATIVES
POSITIVE: Amani Toomer earlier in the game had two TD catches

NEGATIVE:Tiki Barber was stopped by the Eagles defense nearly every single
time he was handed the ball.

NOTE: The Giants linebackers were all somehow hurt sometime in the game.
I noticed Emmons, Pierce, and Mr. Nickels all down sometime in the game.
They should, though, be alright.

POSITIVE: Sinorice Moss caught his first pass in the NFL.

POSITIVE: Feagles did a great job of punting.

NEGATIVE: Giants offensive line allowed EIGHT sacks of Eli Manning.

NEGATIVE: The Giants defense just left the Eagles WR wide open too
many times for scores.

NEGATIVE: Both Colts and Eagles converted too many 3rd down con-
versions than usual.
Coming Up: GIANTS (1-1) AT SEAHAWKS (2-0), Then Giants BYE week.

Colts at Giants

Manning Bowl- Eli vs Peyton.

The game that Archie Manning doesn’t know what to do. He did say though, that he will root for the Colts offense and the Giants offense, that’s it.
Both the Giants and the Colts won their division last season, and both lost in their first playoff game of the year, both at home.

Sinorice Moss hopes to return, but he shouldn’t see a whole lot of action anyway because he missed all of the preseason.

Jeremy Shockey is probable, but there is no way he is NOT going to play.

Vinatieri is going to play, after all of that with his foot.

My Prediction:  Giants 31, Colts 27

Expect Giants Stadium to be going nuts with their 12th man. It’s going to be a full house.
