Piazza with Athletics

Some time ago, I’d say about two or three months ago, former Met catcher Mike Piazza signed with the Oakland Athletics.

Everyone figured he would already be on an AL team by now, but he split time catching last year in San Diego. He won a Division Title there.

Now with the Athletics, he is on his 2nd team since leaving the Mets. He has said that he would like to go into the Hall of Fame as a Met, but he doesn’t choose. After all, he did have more successful years with New York and also hitting the home run that gave him the most homers of any catcher in the history of Major League Baseball.

May be the best Met of all-time.
