PreGame: Nats @ Mets
The Mets are welcoming back former third-base coach, Manny Acta tonight, as the Mets take on the Washington Nationals for game one of a three game series.
Mike Pelfrey (0-0) will make his season debut against John Patterson (0-2)
Im expecting the lineup to look as follows:
1. Jose Reyes SS
2. Paul Lo Duca C
3. Carlos Beltran CF
4. Carlos Delgado 1B
5. David Wright 3B
6. Moises Alou LF
7. Shawn Green RF
8. Jose Valentin 2B
*9. Mike Pelfrey P
*- Player is making his 2007 Debut tonight.
As for the Mets offense, everything should be fine against the mediocre Nationals pitching rotation this series. Tonight, Patterson, who is 0-2, should face some problems against the Mets hot bats.
Streaking: 3B David Wright has a 21 game hitting streak, and extended it last night with a triple. He has been usually extending it in his last at-bat of the games.
It is crucial for the Mets to win games against the Nationals this season, as the NL East is looking to be a very tight race this season. PRESSURE IS ON!
Let’s hope for the best, and LETS GO METS!
Lets hope Pelfrey can get his 2007 season off to a good start. LETS GO METS
