PostGame: Mets vs. Marlins

April 19, 2007

Final: Mets 11, Marlins 3. The Mets won all three games of their road trip, sweeping the Phillies in one game, and the Marlins in two. The Mets scored a combined 20 runs in the two-game series! El Duque pitched great, with 10 K’s in 7 innings. The Mets scored seven runs by the third inning.

Reyes hit a triple, and well, it will always be one if it goes past the outfielders…

Beltran had a great day hitting, most importantly a double and a HR.

Lo Duca had the day off to rest his finger, and Castro did great filling in, as he hit a HR.

Shawn Green had two RBI doubles…

Even El Duque had an RBI single…

Valentin hit a HR for the Mets…

Tomorrow: The Mets host the Braves in the first of a three game series at Shea Stadium starting at 7:10 PM. The Mets are sending Mike Pelfrey to face Tim Hudson in New York. The Mets are leaving Miami at about 12 am, and are schedule to be back in NY somewhere around 2 am.

LETS GO METS!
