PostGame: Mets/Braves

April 20, 2007

 Final: Braves 7, Mets 3.

Well, the Mets offense, who will need to carry them throughout the season, didn’t do what they needed to do. Shawn Green hit a HR, but that was in the ninth.

-David Wright’s hitting streak came to an end.

-Larry “Chipper” Jones hit a HR in the first inning.

-Tim Hudson went 8 innings, allowing 5 hits, 0 runs, while striking out five.

- Pelfrey didn’t have a quality start, as he gave up a HR to Larry “Chipper” Jones early.

Tomorrow the Mets play the Braves in Game 2 of this three game series at Shea Stadium at 1:10 PM. The pitching matchup will be Oliver Perez vs. Chuck James.
