PostGame: Final: Mets 9, Marlins 6

May 1, 2007

Chan Ho Park looked fine for the first two innings, and then had two quick outs in the third. Immediately after some baserunners got on, Damion Easley dropped a line drive, which would have saved the Marlins from breaking the game open.

Mets used four pitchers. Park went four innings, Burgos went two, Sele went two, and Schoeneweis went one. Park’s ERA is 15.75.

Alou said that his shoulder was bugging him in Washington and still is, so he was pulled late in the game. He ended up with a double, going 1-for-3.

Jose Reyes hit a perfect double to left field, and ended up 3-for-5, as his average is .356.

Carlos Beltran is very, very hot right now… he just keeps getting hits, while he grabbed four hits and a solo-shot in there also.

David Wright needs to come up with a solution to his hitting… the slump seems like its been forever! Nothing helped last night, as he went 0-for-5
