Giants Win Sixth Straight Game

October 28, 2007 · Filed Under Giants, This Week's Giants Game

The Giants found another way to win. This week, it may not have been pretty, but regardless of the score or weather conditions, the Giants still pulled out another win to put them at 6-2. Brandon Jacobs had over 100 yards rushing again, while this time he acheived the most rushing yards in his career. Eli Manning appeared to have a horrible game on the stats, but that was not the case. Many of his throws were right on the money, including several touchdown passes that were dropped. Eli was able to avoid traffic and ran down the left sideline to score on his own in the first half, a 1o-yard touchdown run.

The field was in unbelievably horrible condition throughout the game. The rain dumped down on the field, making players slip and slide all over the place. After the game, Michael Strahan said that it was one of the worst games weather-wise that he has seen in awhile.

The Giants won their sixth straight game, the first time that they have won six straight games since 1994. They now have a bye week before they play the Dallas Cowboys at the Meadowlands. If the Giants beat the Cowboys, they will take over possession of 1st place in the NFC East. Also, if Dallas loses next week, the Giants will be tied for first, but will not officially BE in first because of the head-to-head tiebreaker.

The bye week will help Burress’ ankle problem at least a little bit. For it to heal, he really needs a couple weeks, but it doesn’t appear he will be getting that.
