Mets starting pitcher John Maine went online for the FIRST time last week, according to Marty Noble at Mets.com.
Gee, I guess maybe some stars are right when they say they don’t get into the news very much. He did say he reads newspapers, but still, you can get a lot more current news online.
Here’s what Noble had to say about this silly fact:
“Welcome to the 1990s, John Maine. The Mets pitcher now has Internet experience. He went online for the first time last week.
“Now that I know how,” he said, “I’m not sure what to look for.”
An avid reader, Maine said, ‘I’d rather hold a newspaper in my hands.’ ”
Yikes…Well, as long as you pitch like you did in the first half of last year for the whole year this year, we’ll all be happy, won’t we?
