Too Cold for BP?!

The Mets think its too cold for batting practice and it was 55 degrees. That is certainly cold for Florida, but if they can’t take BP in that kind of weather, they better get ready for some chilly days in the beginning and end of the season at Shea.

Now, don’t get all crazy on me, I know there are several times when teams do not take batting practice (day game after night game), but when you just started playing baseball a few weeks ago and you are only in Spring Training, I think you should be able take batting practice in the daytime when you are in Florida, especially when it is not raining.

But maybe I should not completely blame the Mets because they were the away team, while I’m guessing the Tigers also did not take batting practice.
