Subway Series: Mets/Yanks

The Mets are back home–well, sorta– they’re in NY, but they’re playing at Yankee Stadium. Here’s the deal:

Start Time:7: 05 PM

TV + Radio: CW11, 660 WFAN New York

Weather: 72 Degrees, partly cloudy

Pitchers: Oliver Perez (6-5, 3.21) vs. Roger Clemens (1-0, 4.50)

The Game: Well, the Met fans all around know that road trip is one to forget… getting swept and losing two out of three. The Met fans are really hoping that the day off yesterday is just what the Mets needed to get refueled and bounce back.

Roger Clemens, who is facing the Mets today, is coming off of a shaky win. He picked up the win, but it wasn’t too pretty. Against the Pirates in his first and only start of the season so far, he allowed three runs in six innings.

Oliver Perez, starting off great this season, has been shaky throughout his past few starts.  His last win was May 23 against the Braves. Since then he has two losses and a no decision.

The Mets lineup today looks as follows. As you notice, in bold Delgado is a DH today in the interleague game, and Uncle Franco is playing first base. Let’s see if he can actually make contact on a fastball tonight at his age…

1.    Jose Reyes        SS

2.   Carlos Beltran   CF

3.   David Wright    3B

4.   Carlos Delgado  DH

5.    Lo Duca              C

6.    Shawn Green    RF

7.    Franco                1B

8.    Valentin              2B

9.    Gomez                LF
