Pitcher Orlando Hernandez started for the single-A St. Lucie
Mets last night in Florida. According to the LoHud Mets blog, Hernandez gave up two runs on three hits in five innings. He struck out six and walked one.
“I didn’t feel the adrenaline tonight,” explained Hernandez. I was pumped for the Baltimore start and have to get back to that. I am still adjusting to my old delivery.”
Well, we’ll see how much the aging pitcher has left in him and how quickly he can return to the major league team. According to Hernandez, he figures to make around two or three more rehab starts before returning to the major league team.
